About four miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore's Palomarin Trailhead begins the unmaintained trail to Alamere Falls. The trail is narrow, bordered on both sides by poison oak, but is brief and quickly opens up to a view of the Pacific Ocean. Alamere Falls has an upper (pictured) and lower section, which flows onto the beach. To reach the lower one, hikers must climb down a rock cliff.
